The
bag is well designed to carry a laptop with cushioning at the
top, bottom, and sides, and ample room left for books, papers,
and whatnot. When empty it's surprisingly light, which I
appreciate because I usually carry a pretty heavy load of
books and papers as well as my laptop. I wheel it back and
forth to campus, on city streets, on the subway--heavy use, in
other words--and it has stood up well. I especially like the
aluminum handle--lightweight, but strong and secure. Steering
is good. With its size and hard back, the bag really doesn't
work well as a backpack, I don't think, so I would appreciate
being able to get rid of the sewn-in straps...but they tuck
well out of the way, so this is a very tiny quibble. Overall,
a very well-designed, well-made product. Told this was a "must
have" for my son in middle school because the wheels were
durable and the space large enough to hold numerous textbooks,
logs, etc..... Disappointed to find that, just as another had
experienced, the durability factor is low for an 11/12 yr old
boy. There are 2 rips near the bottom of the bag. Not buying a
new one yet since it has only been 1.5 months, but would have
expected better performance.
I love this backpack!! It is sooo much easier to travel with
this backpack (esp w/ a child) compared to a backpack w/out
wheels. Plenty compartments for small stuff. The handle goes
up & down easily. It did fit under an airplane seat but w/ a
bit of persuation (my backpack was completely full though).
Flying 3x's/yr from HI to the mainland w/ a child, I wished I
would have bought it sooner. It seems to be well made & sturdy
also. I am really pleased w/ this backpack!! |
